When you contact us
If you use the contact form or contact us by email, we may receive:

the subject of your enquiry;

We use this information only to read and respond to your enquiry.
When you make a purchase
To process and fulfil an order, we may receive:
your name;
your email address;
your billing and delivery address;
details of the artwork or print ordered;
payment status and transaction reference;
delivery and tracking information;
information required to manage a return, refund or dispute.
This information is necessary to complete the purchase, deliver the order and maintain legally required business records.
Technical information
The website and hosting provider may process limited technical information, such as an IP address, browser information, session identifiers and security logs.
This information is used only to operate and secure the website, prevent misuse and diagnose technical problems.
3. Payments
Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
Customers enter their payment information on a Stripe-hosted payment page. NikolArt does not receive or store complete card numbers or card security codes.
We may receive limited transaction information from Stripe, such as the payment status, transaction reference, payment method type and the last four digits of a card.
Stripe Checkout redirects the customer to a Stripe-hosted payment page where the payment details are entered.
4. Why we use personal information
We use personal information only where necessary to:
respond to an enquiry;
take steps requested before a possible purchase;
process and fulfil an order;
arrange delivery, collection, returns or refunds;
maintain accounting and tax records;
protect the website and prevent fraud or misuse;

5. No marketing or profiling
NikolArt does not:
operate an email marketing list;
send promotional or advertising emails;
use personal information for profiling;
sell or rent personal information;
use third-party advertising trackers;
use personal information for unrelated marketing purposes.
Submitting a contact enquiry or completing an order will not subscribe you to marketing communications.
6. Who information may be shared with
Information is shared only where necessary with service providers involved in operating the website or fulfilling an order, including:
Stripe, for payment processing;
the website hosting and email provider;
delivery companies, couriers and insurers;
professional advisers where necessary;
regulators, courts or public authorities where required by law.
Only the information necessary for the relevant service is shared.
7. How long information is retained
Personal information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary.
Normally:
contact enquiries are deleted when they are no longer required, and ordinarily within 12 months after the enquiry is closed;
order, invoice and payment records are retained for the period required by applicable UK tax and accounting law;
delivery and support correspondence may be retained with the related order;
technical security logs are retained for a limited period unless required to investigate a security incident.

NikolArt does not use advertising cookies or analytics cookies.
